Please read these terms carefully before using our services. By placing a booking or submitting an enquiry, you agree to these terms.
1. About us
ENTECH IT is a technology repair and IT support service operated by Terry, based in Waltham Cross, Hertfordshire. We provide repairs for computers, laptops, MacBooks, consoles, phones and tablets, as well as IT support services for homes and businesses.

2. Booking and deposit
A £10 deposit is required to confirm your booking. This deposit is deducted from your final bill on completion of the repair.
- Bookings are only confirmed once the £10 deposit has been received
- The deposit is fully refundable if we are unable to complete your repair
- The deposit is non-refundable if you cancel less than 24 hours before your appointment without good reason
- If we are unable to diagnose or fix your device, you will not be charged beyond the £25 diagnostic fee (if applicable)
- Diagnostic fees are waived when a repair is booked and completed
3. Pricing and quotes
- All prices shown on our website are starting prices — "From £X" means the minimum charge
- Final prices depend on the model of device, fault severity and cost of parts required
- We will always confirm the final price before beginning any repair work
- You have the right to decline a repair after receiving a quote — no charge applies beyond any diagnostic fee already paid
- For enquiry-only services, a full quote will be provided before any work begins
4. Turnaround times
- Turnaround times shown on our website are estimates and not guaranteed
- Complex repairs, parts availability and volume of bookings may affect turnaround
- We will keep you updated throughout the repair process
- Express 24-hour PS5 repairs are subject to parts availability
5. Your device and data
You are responsible for backing up your own data before handing your device to us.
- We take reasonable precautions to protect your data during repairs, but we cannot guarantee data retention
- We strongly recommend backing up all data before dropping off or posting your device
- We will not access, copy or share any personal data stored on your device beyond what is necessary to complete the repair
- We are not liable for any data loss that occurs during a repair, including reinstallation of operating systems
6. Postal repairs
- Customers sending devices by post are responsible for appropriate packaging and insurance
- We recommend using a tracked and insured service (Royal Mail Special Delivery or similar)
- We are not liable for devices lost or damaged in transit to us
- Return postage costs are included in postal repair pricing unless stated otherwise
7. Warranty on repairs
- All completed repairs carry a 30-day warranty on parts and labour
- The warranty covers the specific fault that was repaired
- The warranty does not cover new faults, accidental damage or damage caused by the customer after collection
- Custom gaming PC builds carry a separate build warranty — details provided at the time of quote
8. Limitation of liability
Our liability to you in connection with any service is limited to the amount you have paid for that specific service. We are not liable for:
- Loss of data, documents, photos or other digital content
- Loss of income or business resulting from device downtime
- Any indirect or consequential loss
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
9. Pick-up and collection service
- Pick-up and collection is available in the North London to Bishops Stortford area
- Urgent collection outside normal hours may incur an additional fee — this will be quoted in advance
- Pick-up availability is subject to schedule — we will confirm availability when you book
10. Payments
- We accept card payments (via Stripe) and PayPal
- Full payment is due on completion and collection of your device
- We reserve the right to retain a device until payment is received in full
11. Uncollected devices
If a repaired device is not collected within 60 days of notification and we have been unable to reach you, we reserve the right to dispose of or recycle the device. We will make reasonable attempts to contact you before taking any such action.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page.
